About Us

We’re building the nutrition solution we always needed—but could never find.

We came together through years of building startups and juggling high-performance careers with athletic goals. Despite all the tech and tools at our fingertips, we kept running into the same wall: nutrition was always the most confusing—and overlooked—part of the performance equation.

As lifelong athletes, each of us faced a moment when our routines changed—whether after college sports, during parenthood, or through career shifts—and suddenly, what used to work for fueling our bodies didn’t anymore. We weren’t alone. After speaking with hundreds of active women, we realized this wasn’t just our frustration. It was a gap that cut across every stage of life, affecting energy, performance, and well-being.

So we created Cadence.

Cadence is the first personalized nutrition platform built for female athletes and active women. We combine biomarker testing, wearable data, and machine learning to create dynamic nutrition plans that evolve with your body. At the core of our system are curated, science-backed protocols designed specifically for the needs of active women—empowering you to fuel smarter, feel stronger, and perform at your best through every life stage.

Our Team and Journey

Claire Marsh, Co-Founder & CEO

Claire has been an athlete her whole life — playing competitive soccer, field hockey, and constantly training for races. But after turning 30, she noticed a shift: what used to work for her body simply... didn’t. Recovery took longer, injuries piled up, and “eating healthy” didn’t cut it anymore. She needed more tailored support, and couldn’t find it.

Claire didn’t come to this problem lightly — or without tools. She studied microfinance and international development at USC, earned her MBA and MS in Design Innovation at Northwestern from Kellogg’s prestigious MMM program, and built a career launching ventures at the intersection of technology, health, and impact. From running a social enterprise out of a carport in Nicaragua, to leading product innovation at Kiva, to building 0-to-1 businesses for Fortune 500 companies at BCG Digital Ventures — Claire’s work has always centered on unlocking access and empowering people through systems-level change. With Cadence, she’s bringing that same strategic rigor and heart to women’s wellness — translating complexity into clarity, and helping ambitious women fuel their performance with intention.

Lila Cohn, Co-Founder & COO

Lila’s turning point came after becoming a mom of two. Growing up as a soccer player, she found running as an adult — but postpartum, her world and routines turned upside down. Nutrition became a key missing piece in getting back to strength and high performance. And yet, guidance for active moms was nowhere to be found.
